MPS Announces Partnership with Miko Technologies

(WASHINGTON, DC, June 5, 2000)--A strategic partnership between Meridian Project Systems (MPS) and Miko Technologies, a custom software design and development services company, was announced today. MPS, the premier provider of software and eBusiness solutions for the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, has incorporated Miko Technologies’ ChartIt 2000, to its software-based project management solution.

The partnership with Miko Technologies allows Prolog Manager 6 customers to produce visual status charts for basic budgets, contracts, RFIs (Request for Information) and submittals. The charts allow the capability of seeing documentation or data in a visually charted format. Users can view high level summary charts or filter the chart based on data within the Prolog Manager 6 database to see detailed aspects of the project. ChartIt 2000 has the power to display bar charts, line charts, pie charts, and horizontal bar charts. Users can even use the drill down feature to quickly view explicit information about a particular bar or line.

The key to this strategic agreement is the ability of ChartIt 2000 to take data and quickly turn it into an easily understood chart that will represent the status of various aspects of a project for Prolog Manager 6 users. ChartIt 2000 gives users the added features that customers have been requesting. Currently, MPS’customers such as Morrison Knudsen and Bovis are using the technology.

"Partnering with Miko Technologies allows us to provide our customers with an exclusive product that will greatly enhance the functionality and features of Prolog Manager 6, particularly for owners and senior management who require information to be presented in a clear and concise graphical format," said Elizabeth Dodson, Business Alliance Manager for MPS.

Customers have the ability to add upgrades and additional ChartIt 2000 charts to the four current ChartIt 2000 charts offered in Prolog Manager 6 by purchasing them through Miko Technologies. Prolog Manager, one of MPS’ most popular and successful project management and control software solutions, includes purchasing, cost control, engineering and superintending features. In addition, Prolog Manager 6 includes a purchasing module that manages the entire procurement process.

"By offering our exclusive ChartIt 2000 functions within Prolog Manager 6, MPS extends its significant advantage over other software currently in the market" said David Mikofalvy, President of Miko Technologies. "Prolog Manager 6 is the best project management system in the marketplace and it is great for us to be able to contribute to the fullness of the application."
