Meridian Project Systems and Morrison Knudsen Create Win/Win Partnership

(WASHINGTON, DC, June 5, 2000)--Meridian Project Systems’ (MPS) and Morrison Knudsen (MK) Corporation have established a partnership that will leverage the strengths of each organization for mutual benefit. The partnership will include joint product development, marketing opportunities and shared expertise.

MK, based in Boise, Idaho, has been a MPS client for over four years, implementing Prolog Manager on hundreds of projects worldwide. MK is also a part of the MPS Product Advisory Board, which meets regularly to discuss and contribute to the direction of MPS’s products and business growth. Since the beginning of their business relationship, MPS and MK have shared industry knowledge, technology expertise and have localized deployment of MPS products.

“We see the partnership as a tremendous opportunity to create exponential gain for both organizations,” said John Bodrozic, President and co-founder of MPS. “By combining our mutual strengths and industry experience, MK enhances their technology infrastructure and MPS’s products and services continue to be enhanced based on real-world needs.”

MPS has created customized options which allow users to tailor the Prolog Manager software to best suit the requirements of its customers like MK. Likewise, MK has enhanced the earned value functionality of the software by creating specific features such as implementing management graphics, enhancing the cost module and accessing accounting technology interfaces. The partnership will create a more formal extension of the professional trust and current relationship that MPS and MK have established. It will also provide an opportunity for MPS and MK, both leaders in their respective industries, to participate in co-marketing opportunities to augment future business development.

“MK selected MPS because of the high level of functionality, flexibility, and customization. It allows us to focus more on value-added project management processes and less on systems,” said Philip Greer, Project Controls Manager at MK. “Because Prolog Manager fits so well with our corporate culture and is easily customizable, MK has developed a version of Prolog Manager that feels as if we had developed the entire system ourselves. It is our thought to promote consistency, operation efficiency and customer value at MK and in so doing expect to standardize on the Meridian Project Pack.”
