Now that you have created the door and placed it precisely on the screen, you can modify its parameters to create a set of french double doors that are partially open.

1. Select the door.

2. Select the Modify tab, located right next to the Create tab on your screen.

3. Select the Double Doors checkbox.

4. Select the Generate Mapping coordinates checkbox. This will make it easier to apply materials to your door. Enter 45 in the Doors Open spinner to open the double doors.

5. Select the Flip Swing checkbox to make the doors open out. (see Figure 1)

6. Select the Panel Fill rollout to display options that will let you control the way the door panels look. Enter 2 to specify the Horiz. Divisions. Enter 4 to specify the Vert. Divisions.

7. Select the Glass Thick checkbox to specify that you want to place glass in the panels. You won't be able to see the glass, but the geometry required for the glass panels will be in the door. (see Figure 2)

8. Select the Trim rollout.

9. Select Create Trim to put a trim around the door.

10. Repeat this procedure to fill the other gaps in the walls with doors and windows.

VIZ comes with special multi/sub-object materials designed just for doors and windows. (see Figure 3)
